Delhi govt to test ‘smog-eating’ photocatalytic coatings on road
Delhi government will conduct a time-bound feasibility study on use of "smog-eating" photocatalytic coatings on roads to reduce pollutants, Environment Minister Manjinder Singh Sirsa said. The titanium dioxide-based technology has been tested abroad, and Delhi will assess its efficacy before deciding on large-scale deployment, he added. The study will also examine cost-effectiveness and safety.
