Delhi Metro halts for 2-3 minutes after earthquake, follows SOP
Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) trains were reportedly halted for 2-3 minutes in the aftermath of the earthquake that struck Delhi-NCR. This was done as per the Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) followed by the DMRC. Delhi Metro reportedly has a system that sends alerts to train operators during earthquakes. The DMRC structures can withstand high-magnitude earthquakes, reportedly up to 7.5.
