Delhi reports highest malaria cases in 5 years with 135 till Aug 2
Delhi recorded 135 malaria cases from January to August 2, highest in five years, according to civic body data. In the same period, cases were 115 in 2024, 51 in 2023, 25 in 2022, and 16 in 2021. Officials said most common breeding spots for mosquitoes are coolers, drums, flower pots, among others. Additionally, 20 cases of chikungunya were reported.
