Delhi to microchip 1 million street dogs, regulate pet shops
Delhi's Animal Welfare Board has announced plans to microchip one million street dogs, regulate pet shops, and launch a rabies action plan. "Delhi will soon have a dog census and monitoring system so that we can work with accurate data," Development Minister Kapil Mishra said. Notably, Supreme Court recently directed all Delhi-NCR stray dogs to be vaccinated and sterilised.
