DGCA confirms IndiGo flight wasn't allowed to enter Pak airspace, issues statement
Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) issued a statement on turbulence-hit IndiGo flight that was damaged in a sudden hailstorm. Confirming that the flight wasn't allowed to enter Pakistan airspace, DGCA said its crew initially sought Northern Control (IAF's) permission to deviate towards international border, but it wasn't approved. They then decided to penetrate the weather, DGCA said.
