DGCA to probe Air India RAT deployment on Birmingham flight
The Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) will investigate the uncommanded deployment of the Ram Air Turbine (RAT) on Air India's Boeing 787-8 during its Amritsar-Birmingham flight. Despite the alert at 400-500 feet, all systems remained normal and the plane landed safely. The Federation of Indian Pilots has called for inspections of all B787 electrical systems.
