Disappointed: UK Envoy on vandalism of Gandhi stature in London
UK's High Commissioner to India, Lindy Cameron, said she is "disappointed and saddened" after Mahatma Gandhi's statue was vandalised at Tavistock Square in London, two days before his birth anniversary. "His teachings of tolerance, peace and non-violence are timeless and will always bring people together," she said. The plinth of the statue was found covered with offensive anti-India graffiti.
