Divya Deshmukh creates history, becomes first Indian woman to reach Chess World Cup final
India's 19-year-old Woman Grandmaster Divya Deshmukh has created history by becoming the first Indian woman to reach the Chess World Cup final. She knocked out former world champion Tan Zhongyi of China in the semi-final in Batumi, Georgia. By reaching the World Cup final, Divya has also qualified for the Candidates tournament.
