Doctor explains why dengue cases rise during monsoon
As monsoon rains soak cities and create puddles in the streets, they call for dengue fever. Dr Nishant Bansal explained, "Increased rainfall leads to the accumulation of stagnant water in various places such as puddles, containers, etc, providing breeding grounds for mosquitoes. The humid climate also facilitates the rapid growth of these mosquitoes, increasing the risk of dengue transmission."
