Doctors quits career to help fight forest fires in Uttarakhand
Dr Megha Saxena, an ex-practitioner at a government medical college in Almora, quit her medical career to address Uttarakhand’s forest fire issue. In 2021, she founded EcoChar, transforming pine needle waste into biochar-based farm solutions. Stepping back from medicine during her maternity leave amid pandemic, she embraced entrepreneurship to tackle environmental and agricultural challenges.
