Does chemotherapy work equally well for all breast cancer patients?
Not all breast cancer patients might respond equally well to chemotherapy, Oncologist Dr Mandeep Singh Malhotra of Delhi's CK Birla Hospital explained. Most breast cancers are hormone receptor-positive (HR+) and grow slowly, and might respond poorly to chemo, which targets fast‑dividing cells. Low oxygen levels, a weak immune system, and some genetic factors can also make the therapy less effective.
