Dubai hotel unexpectedly becomes world's tallest, architect says it's on irregularly shaped land
Dubai's Ciel has become the world's tallest hotel, with 377-metre height and 82 floors. Architect Yahya Jan said Ciel is built on irregularly shaped land resembling a triangle, calling it a "very challenging project". Rob Burns, The First Group CEO, said they didn't intend to build the world's tallest hotel, but it kept growing taller as they kept adding amenities.
