Engineers create tent that lowers outside temperature by 10°F
Engineers and researchers at the University of California have developed a tent that lowers the outside temperature by up to 10 degrees Fahrenheit. The 10-by-10-foot tent has semi-transparent, infrared-reflective walls and a roof built from radiative-cooling sheets. It also has three cooling panels made of aluminium sheets with cold water flowing behind them to keep the panels actively cool.
