Eternal’s revenue soars, margins strain in growth push
Eternal (formerly Zomato), led by Deepinder Goyal, reported nearly threefold revenue growth to ₹13,500-₹14,000 crore, driven by Blinkit’s inventory model and ecosystem integration. Yet, net profit dropped over 60% to ₹65 crore as expansion and marketing costs rose. Goyal emphasised a unified consumer ecosystem, balancing rapid scale with short-term margin pressure.
