EU imposes ₹30,550-crore fine on Google, days after Trump's threat against fines
EU regulators fined Google €2.95 billion (₹30,550 crore) for violating competition rules by favouring its own digital advertising services. EU ordered Google to end its "self-preferencing practices" and take steps to stop "conflicts of interest" along the advertising technology supply chain. This comes days after US President Donald Trump threatened countries against penalising US tech firms.
