Europe needs reusable rockets to catch Musk's SpaceX: ESA chief
ESA director Josef Aschbacher has warned that Europe must quickly develop its own reusable rocket to compete with Elon Musk's SpaceX, which dominates global space launches. While Europe's Ariane 6 is non-reusable, the ESA plans a major shift toward reusable systems and aims to support the EU's upcoming IRIS2 satellite network by 2030.
