Ex-IAS officer allegedly takes ₹45 lakh to make businessman's son a Deputy Collector
A retired IAS officer from Chhattisgarh, Taman Singh Sonwani, has been accused of accepting a bribe worth ₹45 lakh. It has been claimed that Sonwani had accepted the bribe to appoint the son and daughter-in-law of a Raipur-based steel company owner as Deputy Collectors. The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has arrested him in connection with this case.
