FAA chief rules out possibility of pilot mistake behind Air India plane crash
US FAA chief Bryan Bedford said the aviation regulator believes the Air India plane crash isn't an issue with "inadvertent manipulation" of fuel control. "It doesn't appear to be a mechanical issue with the Boeing fuel control unit," Bedford added. AAIB flagged fuel control switches in its preliminary report on the crash, saying the switch moved to 'CUTOFF' after takeoff.
