Fake ‘Dr Rohit Oberoi’ dupes Pune divorcee ₹3.6 cr online
A 42‑year‑old man identified as Abhishek Shukla, posing as 'Dr Rohit Oberoi' on Shaadi.com, allegedly tricked a 40-year-old divorced Pune woman into transferring ₹3.6 crore (from her ₹5 crore alimony), promising to fund her startup. He pretended to be an Australian doctor, even faked cancer diagnosis and death. Pune Cyber Police arrested him at Mumbai airport after tracing his online footprint.
