Family of Nimisha, who's on death row in Yemen, offers $1 mn 'blood money' for her pardon
Indian nurse Nimisha Priya's family has offered $1 million (around ₹8.6 crore) as 'blood money' to the family of the Yemeni man who was allegedly murdered by Nimisha. Under Yemeni Sharia law, the blood money allows for the possibility of pardon in such cases. Nimisha is likely to be executed on July 16 for allegedly killing Talal Abdo Mahdi.
