Farmer with rare condition treated with alcohol ablation in Andhra
A 40-year-old farmer from Tadipatri with Hypertrophic Obstructive Cardiomyopathy (HOCM) was treated at KIMS Saveera, Anantapur, Andhra Pradesh, using Alcohol Septal Ablation (ASA). The non-surgical procedure involves injecting alcohol to shrink thickened heart muscle, improving blood flow. The patient had persistent symptoms despite medication and showed recovery after undergoing the procedure.
