Farooq criticises Waqf Board over Hazratbal row, says 'There was no need to install plaque'
After a plaque bearing Ashoka Emblem was vandalised by a mob at Jammu and Kashmir's Hazratbal shrine, National Conference President Farooq Abdullah criticised Jammu and Kashmir Waqf Board for installing the plaque. "There was no need to install...plaque. They put it up and people didn't like it," Abdullah added. Over 50 people have been detained for vandalising the emblem.
