Fighting halted in Sweida as Druze fighters recaptured it: Syria
Fighting in Syria's Sweida "halted" on Sunday, Syrian government said, after the southern city was recaptured by Druze fighters and state forces were redeployed to the region. Druze fighters had pushed out rival armed factions from the city on Saturday after the government ordered a ceasefire to avert further Israeli military intervention. Clashes had erupted between Druze and Bedouin communities.
