Fired H-1B workers face deportation before end of 60-day period
Several laid-off H-1B visa holders in US are receiving Notices to Appear, the first step in deportation proceedings, even though they're still within 60-day grace period legally granted after job termination, reports claimed. During this period, H-1B workers are allowed to take actions to prolong their stay. This comes as US government said it's mulling changes to H-1B visa system.
