FireSat Protoflight satellite scans entire Earth every 20 mins
FireSat Protoflight satellite, launched by US-based aerospace start-up Muon Space three months ago, is set to form part of a larger constellation that will scan the Earth every 20 minutes. It contains a multi-band infrared instrument, heat signatures from which could indicate the presence of wildfires. The project aims to detect wildfires early, helping first responders and affected communities.
