Forgotten Ladakhi hero Eliyah Tsetan Phuntsog’s legacy
Eliyah Tsetan Phuntsog, a Ladakhi aristocrat-turned-Christian, played a pivotal role in resisting Pakistani raiders in 1948, supporting troops with supplies, intelligence, and morale. Later, he became a spiritual leader and championed Tibetan refugees, founding the Moravian Institute in Dehradun.
