Fossil of dome-headed dinosaur unearthed in Mongolia
A 108-million-year-old fossil uncovered in Mongolia's Gobi Desert has revealed a previously unknown dome-headed dinosaur species, named Zavacephale rinpoche. The juvenile specimen, comparable in size to a German shepherd, had long legs, short arms, small hands and a distinctive bony skull dome. Researchers say it is the oldest and most complete dome-headed dinosaur fossil ever found.
