Foxconn to invest up to $5B in US after OpenAI server deal
Foxconn announced plans to invest between $1 billion and $5 billion to expand US manufacturing capacity as demand grows for AI server hardware. The move follows a new partnership with OpenAI to co-design and build servers and data-center equipment domestically. Sam Altman called the effort a generational opportunity, aimed at supporting future Nvidia and OpenAI infrastructure needs.
