FPIs offload Indian equities worth ₹21,000 cr in 1st half of Aug
Foreign investors offloaded ₹21,000 crore in Indian equities in the first half of August, bringing the year's total outflow to ₹1.16 lakh crore, according to data with the depositories. This comes amid India-US trade tensions, lacklustre Q1 FY26 corporate earnings, and a weakening rupee. Foreign portfolio investors (FPIs) withdrew a net sum of ₹29,975 crore from equities this month.
