Global EV sales dip as China slows, Europe and U.S. accelerate
Global EV sales rose 15% in August to 1.7M units, the slowest pace since January as China's growth cooled to 6% from H1's 36% average. Europe surged 48% and the U.S. climbed 13%, offsetting China's drag. BYD trimmed its 2025 goal, while rivals Geely, Nio, and Xpeng logged strong gains. Analysts see a rebound in Q4.
