Gold hits record high in international market as it jumps ₹88,700 in 210 days: Report
Gold spot prices hit a record high as they crossed $4,000 (about ₹3.55 lakh)/ounce for the first time ever on Tuesday, according to World Gold Council data. The last $1,000 (about ₹88,700) jump, from $3,000/ounce to $4,000/ounce, happened in just about 210 days, Financial Express reported. Notably, gold spot prices took nearly 15 years to go from $1,000/ounce to $2,000/ounce.
