Gold reserves worth ₹7 lakh crore found in China
China has discovered a "massive" new goldfield containing over 1,000 tonnes of gold deposits estimated to be worth around 600 billion yuan (around ₹7 lakh crore). Geologists have identified over 40 new gold veins at the Wangu gold mine in Hunan province, the Hunan Provincial Geological Institute said. The veins are located less than 6,560 feet underground.
