Google to invest ₹1.33 lakh cr in India to build Asia's largest AI data centre by capacity
Google announced that it'll invest $15 billion (₹1.33 lakh crore) over the next five years to build a gigawatt-scale data centre for an AI hub in Andhra Pradesh's Visakhapatnam, marking its biggest-ever investment in India. The data centre will be Asia's largest by capacity. "It's the largest AI hub...we're going to be investing in anywhere...outside of...US," Google Cloud CEO said.
