India will now observe Ayurveda Day on a fixed date, i.e., September 23, the government notified. It was earlier celebrated on Dhanteras, which is variable. The day's theme for 2025 is 'Ayurveda for People & Planet', said MoS Prataprao Jadhav. "By designating September 23 as Ayurveda Day, India has given Ayurveda a global calendar identity," the official press release stated.
