GSK gained UK approval for Blujepa, the first new oral antibiotic for urinary tract infections in nearly 30 years. Cleared for women and girls over 12, it was as effective as nitrofurantoin in Phase 3 trials of 3,100 patients, including resistant cases. MHRA said it offers a vital option as UTI resistance grows.
