Gujarat invests ₹5,115 crore to boost tribal farming, irrigation
The Gujarat government has invested ₹5,115 crore over seven years to expand irrigation in tribal regions using lift pipeline technology, benefiting 1.39 lakh acres of farmland. Under the Vanbandhu Kalyan Yojana, the initiative has improved farmers' incomes and living standards. The ongoing Phase 2 projects aim to cover 1.44 lakh more acres across six districts.
