Gujarat village with over ₹1,000 cr NRI bank deposits among India's richest villages
Dharmaj village in Gujarat's Anand district, which has 11 bank branches with over ₹1,000 crore NRI deposits, is one of the richest villages in India, Moneycontrol and PTI reported. While the village's population is 11,333, an estimated 3,120 families from Dharmaj live abroad, reports stated. It is reportedly considered a true "investors' village" where sightings of luxury cars are commonplace.
