Gurugram highway to get wildlife corridor for animal protection
To reduce leopard and wildlife roadkill, the forest department has approved an eight-foot-high wall along parts of the Delhi-Jaipur highway and Gurugram-Faridabad Road. Combined with underpasses, the project will guide animals like leopards, jackals, and hyenas to safe crossings. Conservationists welcome the step, calling it a model for balancing development with ecological preservation.
