HC scraps order cancelling 32,000 teachers' appointments in Bengal
The Calcutta High Court on Wednesday set aside a single-bench order that cancelled the appointments of 32,000 primary teachers in connection with the cash-for-jobs scam case. The court stated that not all appointments were proven to be irregular. Notably, the teachers were recruited through the 2014 Teachers' Eligibility Test (TET) by the West Bengal Board of Primary Education.
