HC takes cognisance of sale of drugs, cigarettes outside schools & colleges
The Bombay High Court's Aurangabad bench took suo motu (on its own) cognisance of "disturbing" news articles on the rampant sale of banned items such as drugs, cigarettes, and e-cigarettes outside schools and colleges. The bench said young, impressionable students are enticed into the consumption of these items, virtually opening the path towards addiction and their "physical destruction".
