High-quality carbs linked to healthy ageing in women: Study
Dietary fiber and high-quality carbohydrate intake during midlife were linked to healthier ageing outcomes in women later in life, according to a study published in JAMA Network Open. Researchers found that women consuming high-quality carbohydrates had a 6–37% greater chance of living longer, while those eating refined carbohydrates and starchy vegetables had a 13% lower chance of healthy ageing.
