Himachal asked to explain disaster plans, climate measures by SC
The Supreme Court has asked State of Himachal Pradesh to clarify if it has a climate change policy besides disaster management plans, citing the state’s 'fragile' ecosystem and "serious existential crisis". A bench led by Justices Vikram Nath and Sandeep Mehta sought details on hydropower, mining, roads, forests, and tourism, directing the government to file a detailed affidavit by October 28.
