How has gold performed compared to real estate in last 10-15 yrs?
Gold delivered annual returns of 11.3%-14% over the past 10–15 years, while real estate gave 5.2%-6.4% returns, The Financial Express reported, citing BankBazaar.com's CEO Adhil Shetty. According to him, ₹1 lakh invested in gold 15 years ago would be worth ₹5 lakh today, while real estate would fetch ₹2.5 lakh. He said gold offers better long-term returns with less complexity.
