For an overweight person with high cholesterol, dietitian Dr Archana Batra recommended limiting whole-egg intake to 7 per week (1 per day). "Limiting whole eggs to 3–6 per week is prudent, while egg white, being cholesterol-free, can be consumed more freely," said consultant dietitian Kanikka Malhotra. "We need to keep the dietary cholesterol below 300 mg per day," Malhotra added.
