How many pixels can the human eye actually see?
According to researchers at University of Cambridge and Meta Reality Labs, human eye's resolution is far higher than previously believed. It can reach 94 pixels per degree (PPD) for black-white, 89 PPD for red-green and 53 PPD for yellow-violet patterns. Their research also showed 4K or 8K screens offer no distinguishable benefit over similarly-sized 2K screen in average living room.
