How much daily sleep is required at different stages of life?
Neurologist Dr Sudhir Kumar said that newborns (up to 3 months old) require 14 to 17 hours of sleep, while the number of hours for infants and young children stands at 12 to 16 hours and 10 to 14 hours, respectively. Teenagers need 8 to 10 hours of sleep and adults 7 to 9 hours.
