How old is India's second oldest Jagannath temple after Puri?
The Jagannath Temple in West Bengal's Mahesh in Hooghly district is 629 years old, established in 1396 AD. It's considered the second oldest Jagannath temple in India, after the one in Odisha's Puri. The Mahesh temple's idols are also around 600 years old, carved from neem wood. Sri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu and Sri Ramakrishna had visited the Mahesh temple.
