Human sacrifice was practiced in 500-yr-old Simlagrah Kali Temple
There are various stories surrounding Simlagarh Kali Temple in West Bengal's Pandua, Hooghly, which is about 500 years old. Local history says when robbers went on a mission to loot, they would worship this Goddess. It is said robbers used to offer human sacrifices in front of Goddess Kali, a practice which was discontinued later.
