I needed to be happy: Virat Kohli on why he gave up RCB, India captaincy
Virat Kohli, in a recent podcast, revealed that he gave up RCB and Team India captaincy as he needed to be happy. "I wanted to be in space where I could just play my cricket, without being judged," he said. Kohli captained India in 213 matches between 2013 and 2022. He led RCB in 143 matches between 2011 and 2023.
