IAS officer caught taking ₹10 lakh bribe in Odisha, ₹47 lakh cash found at residence
IAS officer Dhiman Chakma was caught red-handed while he was accepting ₹10 lakh in bribe from a businessman in Odisha's Kalahandi, the state Vigilance Directorate said. Chakma, who is from Tripura, had allegedly demanded ₹20 lakh from the businessman. A further ₹47 lakh in cash was recovered during subsequent searches carried out at his official residence, the directorate said.
